Part-time employees are paid $7.25 for training. After training is complete, part-time Deputies are paid $15 per hour, part-time Jailers and Dispatchers are paid $13 per hour. Jailers and Dispatchers are paid to attend certification training.
The pool of part-time employees is utilized to fill vacancies on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee of hours. Part-time employees may qualify for Wisconsin Retirement contributions if they work 1,200 per year. No other benefits are associated with the part-time positions.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, and have no felony or domestic abuse related convictions. Jailers must obtain Wisconsin State Jailer certification sponsored by employer. Dispatchers must attend a 40-hour training. Deputies must be law enforcement certified.
